Childrens Bargain Clothes Knowledge Base
Why would a store keep RECALLED childrens clothes on display? I went to a store yesterday and was looking on the childrens clearance racks. Since kids clothes are so expensive, I try to find bargains whereever I can. I found a dress for $3.00, and two pairs of pants one for $5.00 and one for $4.50. When I went to checkout, one pair of pants rang up "UNABLE TO SELL". The cashier didn't know what that meant and asked an assistant manager. All that woman would say is "We can't sell them." and offered no explanation as to why not. This manager always seems to be in a ticked off mood when I go in there, so I just didn't think she wanted to be bothered with a customer, so I asked for the store manager. This woman came over and said they couldn't sell me the pants because there was a manufactuers recall. These pants didn't have small parts that would break off and choke a kid, so I don't know why there would have been a recall. If they were recalled, why on earth would there still be an entire rack on display for people to buy? This is so ignorant. If something has been recalled, take it off the shelf. Don't let people waste their time picking something out, taking it to the front, and then tell them it is recalled. If the computer knew it was recalled, someone in the store should have known as well.
