What's the best way to organize outgrown kids clothes that are holiday related?

What's the best way to organize outgrown kids clothes that are holiday related? I have all of her outgrown stuff put away by size. Do I put the holiday stuff in the right size or in their own holiday box? I was just thinking that she wore a few things that were 9mo when she was wearing 6mo stuff. I don't want to forget the stuff I have for the holidays when the next baby comes.

  1. wow you sound so organised! IF i were that organised i'd put all the holiday stuff together -its the same as putting winter clothes and summer clothes in bundles - then you know where it all is i.e you wont have to go through EVERYTHING in winter, just the winter bag etc - sorry thats probably really obvious lol
  2. I would just put them in order of the right size. Saying that, I have got a big vacuum bag full of age 6-12 months so that cuts out the worry of what will fit and when because as you know, some clothes that say 9 months are the same size/cut as a 6 months size so I will open the bag when my son is 6 months and see what fits him at that time. Unless you are already expecting your next child and you know what month they will be born, chances are you may not even have a child at the same time of the year and when he os she is 6 months, it might be the middle of winter anyway and the summer clothes will be useless! I had both my sons in Nov so clothing-wise, it has worked out very handy!
  3. I decided to just sort everything by size. I didn't have a lot of holiday themed clothing, though, but I still think it's a good idea to do it that way. Perhaps, sort by size, but put the holiday themed stuff at the top where it's easy to get to, then when you know when the next one's due and you start going through clothing again, you can just pull the holiday clothes off the top, if it's not appropriate. Not sure how you want to do the different sized clothing, though. I guess if the size 9 month clothes just seem as if they should be labeled 6 month, then pack them with the 6 month clothes. If you think that perhaps the size difference is just because of the way your child is proportioned and the size is technically correct, then put the 9 month clothes with other 9 month clothes. *My son is the same way right now; he's 2 years old, and he wears 18 month pants, 2T/24 month pajamas, & 2T-3T shirts*
